Thanks ..very tasty I had it last night..I won't take a fish unless I can eat it the same day..Really fat fish   ..Shiner's hooked thru the mouth I feel work better than the back..I also had about 4 other hits I didn't land..

Nice fish looks like you where fishing from a boat I taught you couldn't use them till April 1.

The DEP implemented in 2008 an "extended boating period" for several reservoirs
that allow boating if ice-free even before Apr 1st and after Nov 30.
However Kensico and Croton Reservoirs are not on that list right now.
Cross River is on the list.

I was out on Muscoot last Thursday, landed a sm. Bass on a Mepps Spinner.  Also fished with Minnows, all from shore.
