Had plans to start my season with my good buddy Dominic (Unionbass) and the cold couldn't stop us. Luckily the wind calmed down from earlier in the week.
We started at about 8:00am and the water temps were 37 degrees, later in the morning the temps stayed at about 46 degrees. We tried jerkbaits, jigs of all sizes, grubs, and the occasional soft swimbait. Had to try out my new swimbait setup. The only fish worth showing off came on Dom's jerkbait that he worked slow and they hit it on the pause. Here are the best 2...

We had a great time rowing around, analyzing the situation, comparing new baits, finding some new spots for next time, telling family stories, and just knowing that the season has begun. We look forward to the nicer weather to get back to CR.
Best to All,
Vinny
