9/08 Fishing Report

Came to the south side of Rt 22 bridge at 2pm.  Water very calm.  Fished with fly rod and wooly buggers.  Did not catch anything.  Changed to nymph and caught some very small pan fish.  Saw what looked like spawning beds for probably pan fish right under bridge.

Fished Kensico last Sun and Mon caught 2 SMB from shore Sun nada on Mon was dead..water was high ..am surprised nothing hit..used minnows and topwaters...lots of guys were on the water

Labor Day weekend is always busier. You get the guys who take the family out once a year. It will be back to normal now.

2pm is probably tough on any reservoir now. As the weather cools it might get better but I'd suggest trying early morning or evening twilight time.
