This is my first time posting to this forum. I didnt see a seperate thread in the reservior section for East Branch Reservior in Putnam so I guess I'll post it here
I live in Danbury CT right on the NY Border and have been fishing the East Branch reservior alot and have been doing a real number on the largemouth and smallmouth bass there.
Well today I had the shock of my life - I was fishing there and was just about to leave when on my "last" Cast I nailed a really big Walleye 20in + or minus on a yozuri rattle bait!!!
I was totally shocked because I had
NO idea there were Walleye in this reservior - let alont even in this area. When I hooked into this thing and was fighting it I actually got a little frightened because I was expecting to see a snapping turtle or something scary on the end of my line. It was puling much harder and felt much different than a bass usually does.. When I was able to first get a glimps of this fish I thought it was a really big largemough but then realized iit was a Walleye!!!
I could not believe it when I pulled this thing up. I was soo excited

I took a few images of the beast wiht my camera phone and then let it go.. pretty cool if I do say so myself...
