How to's on Swimbaits
« on: March 27, 2009, 11:54:05 am »
Hey guys...I was just thinking about ordering some swimbaits from Bass for the season.  What's everybody's thought on them.  How would I set them up...Texas Rig?  and what size...3.5" for Bass?

Thanks Guys...

I'm thinking 4-5" baits are standard in the swimbait category. If you wanted to use smaller similar baits I'd guess you'd use super flukes with simple rigging. I know a lot of guys who throw super flukes for bass but I never got into them.

The hope is that whatever minnow imitating plastic we use will look like the local forage. That's why I'm sticking to golden shiner, baby bass, alewive (silver/blue) and perch looking colors.

Best to All,
Vinny
