Yeah...that area is supposed to be great...it's the reason I moved it from area 14 or as I call it "The Dead Zone"

Wow small world, Vinny I'm a Gorton grade also, class of '81

I think I was '71, was supposed to graduate in '72 but got out early with enough credits. Had hurt my knee and never went to gym so I had all the other subjects to graduate out of 11th grade.

Boy, those were the days.

Best Always,
Vinny

i hate to tell you but there are no lakers in new croton and i don't believe there are any browns in there either. I don't have a boat at new croton but from what i've heard it is a great largemouth bass reservoir. New Croton is also one of, if not the best all around panfish reservoir. Once while leaving bobs bait and tackle a guy pulled in with a stringer of the largest yellow perch i have ever seen, the smallest had to be over 2 pounds :o. well anyway good luck this season.  ;D

I do respect every-body' opinion and specifically such as THERE ARE NO LAKERS in NC but look at my cell phone picture made yesterday ........ They are aliens for sure :o

Browns Im pretty sure....Lakers are darker.

First off those are absolutely Brown Trout. Browns have dark spots on a light background.
Lake Trout have light spots on a dark background. Lakers alweays have forked tails,
Browns always havbe squared off tails. I could go on and on but I'm sure that's not necessary.
That said, the more amazing aspect of this that NewCroton Reservoir isn't considered a
trout lake at all as it receives no stockings. But there seem to be some reports that Browns
exist there so this is truly quite a feat both in terms of size and location.

Nice job I knew they are there. Croton gets nothing stocked but is he lowest res in the System and many fish must go over the muscoot spillway and go down to the deep clear water by the dam 120 max down there.Cant wait to see a musky caught there they are about max size now and are mostly sterile.Last Musky was stocked in 2002.
