Hey Jimmy, going out Sat.morn, bait fishing, will get you a report. Night trolling? Don't hear about that much, how's that paid off for you? Da-phish.

Done it a few times on kensico this year.Caught a lot of lakers, and 3 browns ,2 were small and 1 was just under 7lb.Had a terrific brown break off, right at the boat tried to net him to soon.I'm still getting over it.He was the biggest I've ever hooked into.I'm not going to guess at his size cause no one would believe me anyway. But I'm getting close to a super trophy I can feel it.
Phish, thats a super trout your dad caught he must be proud as punch!

Jimmy and Phish,
Good luck on Roundout ... I haven't fished it yet. Any experience in going for Browns on Titicus?

Yea, that was the fish of a lifetime (40 years of trout hunting), that was the first time in my life I was nervous netting a fish. It's funny you mention big trout at the boat, because Dad had the same experience, (12 years ago) he guesses 14 lbs., all I was thinking was we will not lose this one. Just play him down, loosen the drag and be ready. We did not go out today, wind had us concerned. We did check with Tom's bait, he said fish are being had at Roundout and Neversink. Good luck give us a report on your return, Howie.

If was a blow out,literally.20 mph winds for two days and nights, and freezing temps. Roundout is the worst when its windy. It has no shelter,no coves. It was 34 degrees on monday morning ,and 32 on tuesday, with a stiff wind.I came back home on tuesday night, disgusted.
