depth charts
« on: June 16, 2007, 03:17:55 PM »
I found a website that alledgedly has free depth charts etc. I say alledgedly only because apparently my java is not working with this particular site and I can't get the maps to come up. If anyone wants to try it out. the site is findyourwater.com    maybe they'll have the reservoirs on it.

Looks promising. I hope I can get this sorted out.

Mojo,
I'm at work and the site doesn't work for me either. I see that they are using Google Maps and some newer system (api). I may try to setup something on my site if possible. They seem to have other coding problems on that site besides the maps.

Thanks,
Vinny

Ok, I updated my java and now I can at least pull up the basic maps. I don't see contour charts yet but I believe they are there somewhere. I'll keep tinkering with it today. I hope the boss doesn't see me wasting the day away on the computer. Oh, that's me..I might have to fire myself.

If you go to www.sportsman's connection you can put in the name of the lake you want--say it's Kensico--and for $3.95 you can download their detailed depth map. It's not perfect but it's the best one I've been able to find, and I use it weekly. Godo luck!
