Yanking lead verses just trolling makes a difference. I have had great success yanking lead up and down in a pendilum motion hardly ever skunked. I usualy get hit on the upstroke or at least thats when I feel the hit. Stout tackle is required to set hook. Flutter spoons like suttons the best. In line barrell swivel a must. 12 feet of florocarbon leader. Two man job one fishing one rowing

I have a boat on pepacton now near the shavertown bridge so I will definetly try and make it up for at least a day or two. Also when I trollany spoons or artificials I always put some bioedge herring paste on them.I am not sure if it really attracts the fish much but it will make them hold on where the hook setting is much better. Here is the link for the product.
