Kensico Report 4-2
« on: April 03, 2009, 05:44:26 PM »
Went out yesterday on the Rye lake section of Kensico.  We were going ultra light yesterday using Pen Rod Extremes.    Got a total of 3 lakers, 1 nice size perch and the brownie.  The fish seemed scattered and at all different depths so it wasnt easy to key in on any specific depth.

Great day on the water. Beautiful fish. I was wondering if you were trolling spoons or shiners or jigging?

Great report, love the photos. I'm trying an ultralight setup as one of my rigs for my bass fishing this season. It's got to be a blast catching those trout and feeling every bit of the fight on a UL setup.

Best Always,
Vinny

Why does only the first picture have the date stamp? You are dressed differently in the second one too.

Tom  everything we caught were on Live shiners.  Phish the site Ken gave you is the correct site it seems to be down right now I just let the owner know.    Yea Vinny any fish can be an awesome fight on an UL setup. The bigger laker was some battle but finally got him and released him. All the fish caught were fine and released.  Touge  the first camera with the time stamp wasnt fully charged and died on us cause we tried filmin with it alittle and tried to get some action shots jumping and splashing on top. The other 2 pics are on a tiny digital camera that I have in my tackle bag but the pics dont come out as good as a regular camera so its a backup camera. Its a tiny keychain camera  and somehow always comes in handy. And im not wearing diffrent clothes It was April 2nd and can be cold out there, early morning it was still pretty cold and also when the wind blows it got chilly.  The fleece was on and off all day.  But dont let anyone tell you that your not CSI:New York material. :)

Fisherman 14,
Is your boat is on the rye lake side? I can tell you a couple of good spots to try.
