I've seen many garter, water snakes, and copperheads over the years. I hate snakes. I kill them if I can.

Considering that most snakes are beneficial predators I don't think that's a good practice. Of course I smash spiders and they're beneficial too. LOL

Biz Snakes are pretty harmless if you leave them alone but if you keep stepping on them you might get BIT :-X
I heard the BX Zoo lost a 2ft Cobra for 1 whole week and had to shut down there reptile exhibit, But eventually found it and named her M.I.A. :o

haha, i was just playing around....I've killed a few....otherwise I let them go.  None in the basement lol.  I killed a bunch of garter snakes as a kid with a stick.  Copperheads I always kill if they are in my yard or on my property, definitely dont want them around. My Dad had to shoot one once, it was a copperhead in my fenced in yard where my dog was, it was about 2-3 feet long.  My dad also lost a dog to a rattlesnake bite in the catskills many years ago.
