Seen a few Guy's walking out of there in the spring with some very nice stringers of slab Crappies.

Grassy Sprain is closed to fishing via the golf course.  Anyone caught will be issued a ticket according to Westchester County Police.

Where were they fishing from?  The Dam, or from the Course?

I'm guessing they parked their car on the dam itself?  I tried that once, just to scope out the area, but realized that there are signs faded that states no parking.  Leaking that area on either side is dangerous, as the left lane of the parkway usually has cars flying by at 80+ MPH.

Honestly, since the golf course is private property, the County Gestapo has no control over it. They can ticket you in other areas.

The golf course and property on the Sprain Pkwy Southbound are both the responsibility of and patrolled by the WCPD. Saxon Woods Golf Course is another example of the same category....the county police are the agency responsible. As for the dam, I wouldn't risk parking there if there is the slightest chance that it is prohibited. If someone knows intimate knowledge of jurisdictional boundaries, please chime in. I know the NYSP are responsible for that stretch of the Sprain Pkwy.

I have attached a pic/capture right off of Westchester.gov.

You are right yonkers26, WCPD is issuing tickets on the golf course, not Yonkers PD.  I spoke to Yonkers PD, and they said it's not their jurisdiction.

mike.com, there are signs that are new to Fall, 2011.  These signs specifically state that there is no unauthorized access to the reservoir via the golf course.  There is also signs that clearly depict, no fishing allowed.
