Croton Falls Brown, 01-07-12
« on: January 07, 2012, 04:10:17 pm »
Making the best of this warm weather I hit CFR today to do a little trolling. Trolling with a Sutton @ 2 1/2 colors I caught my biggest brown to date 26 1/2" & 8 Lbs 14 Oz. Weighted it in over @ Jack's for the derby.

Great job Chris, that brown is a beast! You will def win the derby with that brown for sure.  You caught some great browns this year in CFR.  This weather this fall and winter has been awesome!  Are you going to get that fish mounted?

how was the fight it gave?

Beautiful fish

You know, I am probably wrong, but there is something different about that trout     Honestly, it looks like one of those "seeforellen" strain brown trout, with so few spots      It likely isn't, but that picture really makes me do a double-take

The seeforellens are a certain strain of brown trout that apparently grow to huge proportions

Congratulations Chris! Way to start off 2012.
Very handsome fish and I agree with bluefish on the spots. Would
make a very nicve mount. Thanks for showing everyone that there's
still fishing to be had before the ice comes.

That picture sure will serve as a huge motivator for fishermen. Seeing a trout like that caught in one of my favorite reservoirs is awesome.  That's a catch of a lifetime!
