Say hello to my little friend
« on: December 09, 2011, 03:36:40 pm »
I landed this 20" 4 pound female brown in CFR. I was trolling a crank bait with LC line 4 colors down. This brown was a fighter, released in good shape.  The wind was pushing me close to shore, i was about 40 feet from shore when it hit.

-Water temp 47 degrees
-Marked a few fish at 30 feet deep
-Bulk of the fish were 40-60 feet deep

Thanks everyone.  This fishes stomach was stuffed, if you have time to get out there, the time is now.  Who knows how much longer this nice weather will hold up.

Way to go John! Alot of guys say to me that it's hard to connect with Browns
in he summer. But personally I think it's harder when the can be anywhere in
the water column. Good job!

lol, it is tough landing a good pic when you are fishing solo.  I keep a small joby tripod in my tackle box and set the timer on the camera.

Gorilla Pod, right? Thats what I have. Got it from LL Bean for like $15-$20 I think. Its awesome, it can attach to trees, or stand on its own, etc.

I never seen the water the way it was today. Lots of fish concentrated in one area and zero fish in other areas.  I am thankful for my fish finder today.
