I went out with Dominic today at about 7:00am on Cross River. The weather started nice but grew windier every hour. The water temps are moving up and were in the 47-50 degree range. We saw a couple of people trolling live bait for trout but not many boats in general were out there.
Before the wind got too bad to fish, Dom picked up a nice 3lb 8oz largemouth bass on a jig in about 4 feet of water near some branches in the water. We had a few other nibbles but nothing let us set the hook on any other fish. (pic on the frontpage)
Our plans to worked the shoreline were just squashed by the wind. Unfortunately we were on the wrong side of the waves and Dom had to row back across the lake against the wind and waves.
We did see the DEP boat out patroling but they never came near us. The one day I thought it would be nice to be towed back to the launch and they didn't stop to say hi.

Best to All,
Vinny
