I went out at 7am  area 13 48degrees drifted shiners and trolled crank baits. I market a boat load of fish in 65-72 ft in 80-115FOW I only caught tiny small mouth bass and one 17 inch laker missing rear right fin ( must be DEC stockie) I will post pics later on tonight. Anyone else have any luck with browns today?

I was also out on the Rye Lake side of Kensico today.  I marked a lot of fish around 70 feet as well.   Actually, I came across the first school of fish at 70 feet, I dropped by bait down, 70 pulls, just as I was putting the rod in the rod holder, the reel started screaming.  Landed a  20" laker cleaned, cooked, and ate.

Hey LS,  While  out my FF  (Pirahna max 160) who some one very smart recommended to me.... I saw the fish were in 40-50 feet of water...

So I thought about drop shotting.... First with live bait, then I saw that many use plastics,.... Do you drop shot at all?

I did this back when I was in Kensico with shiners, with success.

I was out there yesterday as well with the same results as Manny. One small laker (released) and one largemouth jigged up from surprisingly deep. Lots of fish marked deeper but they weren't interested in anything I had.

I met a Chinese research doctor as i was locking up my boat. If you're reading this, PM me.

Sometimes I saw a fish mark staying in a same spot on the screen for a while, it doesn't move. After a moment(like a minute), it started to move as normal as others.  What is that means? I have hummingbird fish buddies.

Thats a good question! ??? I dont know I get the fish in the corner of the screen fluctuating for a couple of seconds (about 30sec) and then it finally passes from the right side of the screen to the left but I dont know what it means either so I change the setting to no fish ID and just look at the waves

Personally I think they are thinking or looking at your bait..for me I get ready for a hit when I see that 9 out 10 times

When you have the FF transducer on the back of the boat,....Does the picture on the screen  mean it sees the fish in the back of the boat as well?  How far would you say the range of this finder is ( lets say you are anchored)? 20ft, 10 ft 5 ft?

CS,
In 20 ft of water or less its pretty much under you..pick a rod and measure from the reel to the first guide..usually 18 to 20 inches..18 inches 10 pulls =15ft..the more you do it the more fish you will catch..try it..so lets say your in 50ft of water and you see fish at 35ft, figure 21 pulls on a (1 1/2) per pull..you always want to dangle the bait, jig, spoon,
above never ..under
