4/7 I left area 3 and rowed to the bridge. I fishing along the way with shiners both on top and on the bottom. I got down to the bridge and found a pretty good wind coming across the main channel. I was marking fish on the finder and stayed in about 50 feet of water. The wind made it tough to hold a spot. I fished until dark. I knew I was going out the next day so I decided to just pull my boat up on the shore at 6 and walk to my truck. What a mistake. First off thats a long walk, and secondly there is absolutely no parking for that area, and thirdly thats a tough path to walk from the lake to the road carrying gear. Water temp was around 45
4/8 I got to the boat and went right out to the channel and near the bridge. The wind died down and the lake was like glass. I was fishing Shiners on the bottom again, occasionally jigging them, but still no luck. So I rowed back to 3 and walked back to the bridge to get my truck.
Here's the facts:
I'm still o-fer on the year at Kensico.
The water temp was colder Yesterday (41) then the day before ??
EveryoneI spoke to didn't have any luck.
I'm never leaving my boat at a different location, too much of a pita.
I'm going to give it another week or two before I try to head out again. I know guys are catching them and I'm pretty sure I'm doing the right things. I think its just too cold!
