My First Brown
« on: November 07, 2011, 11:44:06 am »
Optor posted his 1st Brown on the previous post and I got mine on Saturday as well.  Didn't quite understand the obsession with Browns on this forum but now I get it.  What a fight!  Was just free lining sawbellies when it hit!
Weighed in at just over 5# - Also my first 5 pounder of any type!

Nice fish, great pic!  Great plug for Dunkin Donuts coffee... :)  I agree, great fight on light tackle!  Thanks to John at Bob's B&T with some great tips, we were able to finally get one.

That wont happen again after the dirst time! LOL

Nice job! Too bad the deer get horny when the trout start biting again. Oh well

Montrose you hit the nail on the head!!! Look at the blood on the rag, but with all the adrenaline that a Brown trout produces, everything is over looked..Great job Kwagner!!!

Wow.  Beautiful fish.  You know it almost looks like a landlocked salmon! :)

I don't want to take "man points" from anyone so I have to admit that although I caught the fish, my buddy was holding it while I snapped the photo.  The blood on the rag was from the fish and not my buddy.....

Elsewhere - saw your post about looking like a landlocked salmon....checked a few photos out online and you are right.  Could it be?  Maybe I haven't caught my first brown?
