Boat areas Condition
« on: October 31, 2011, 07:37:52 pm »
Hey Guys!!!

With all the branches and trees down , It made me think if all my boats weathered the storm. So any reports would be great ,I will try to check them out this weekend between Bowhunting.

Bowhunting? Oh yeah, that pastime I used to enjoy for the last 30 years! Let me know and I can check some of the boats up north for you. Manny knows most of my southern boats.

Checked Titcus areas 2, 10, 11, 12, &13 today. did not see any damaged boats. Also Checked Croton Falls areas 11 and all areas by Jack Stewarts with no signs of damaged boats. Drove up to Gilead and all boats looked fine there also. Will be checking Muscoot and Cross Rivers tomorrow

Sorry firenailer. 22 is a tough walk. Croton Falls 1-11 were good.

Did you check out area 9?  I will be there this weekend to seal up some cracks in my boat.

I did not get out there, but from the road you can see pretty good and there did not seem to be any trees down. Only smaller branches as was the case in all other areas that I looked at.

22 at Croton Falls is fine. I couldn't get down to 9 as NYSGE had the parking area full with trucks! Sorry.

i checked out CF boat area 9.  Only saw 1 boat with damaged from a tree that fell on it.  The boat number is 90631.  A 50 foot tree fell on it and honestly it does not look that bad. It could have been much worse.

yeah that boat was lucky, it was in a position that allowed the ground the tree hit to absorb all the energy from the fall.  if the boat was a little more to the left it would have been bent completely in half.
