Fished some shallow water spots on NC today.

and it was constant 10-12 inch LMB biting bass poppers on the 5wt.  When my arm got sore I went to King Kone for lunch.  Went back with my really light spinner rod and some black berkley plastic worms, no weight.  Casting in to like 5 inches of water.  They were all over those things jumping like baby tarpon.  Noticed a bunch of fatty tadpoles along the shore, I saw them pigging out on them.  I was in waders, and it was really nice today, layer of fog on the water around 8 am.  No pics, no phone in waders.  Next time I'm bringing wife's waterproof camera.

Cool BW those waterproof cameras are great to have especially in waders! Just add something that floats to the camera in case you drop it or invest in a snorkel set  don't want the wife mad if show up without her camera. Lol your going to need the camera to take pics of the baby Congrats!!!

That's funny she has the camera for snorkeling.  If I lose the camera, I can then borrow the snorkel set to find it.lol  I have taken so many pictures while screaming underwater with that thing.  I hope the waterproof camera isn't needed for the birth!  We are both really excited, she will be our first.  I have been promised we will still fish regularly.  Wife actually likes fishing too, at least she acts like it.  Someone would have to cut my arms off to keep me off the water.

  I have been promised too , that I'll go fishing any time I want (after baby born).... and yes , she let me go , but after a fishing big lecture about my irresponsibility and next week ....I am still going  and ready for another lecture.Guess what ?! She said that she  likes fishing too or maybe  ....she act like that ?)

By all means don't feel sorry for me GenaVorn.  I have been ready for this a long time.  Both family's from grandparents on back were heavy into fishing.  I hope to raise an outdoors girl, but I really don't care if she fishes or not.  I'm sure I got a lot of unicorns and princess in my future.  Here is a picture of Carolyn fly fishing in Steamboat, CO while she was Pregnant last spring.  I was snowboarding that day.  She is a good fly girl.  She has landed a few Marlin too(not on fly).  I take fishing with me on vacation & business trips.  She is definitely hooked.  Now I will bring a daughter too.  Charter bigger boats and drink less on the trips.lol
