Great fish Chris! Did you get them trolling?
Both caught on sawbellies in 50 FOW 20' to 25' deep.

I won't be going out tomorrow... but it's a good bet that I'll be out Sunday or Monday.  Hopefully something is biting.  Judging from the posts it hasn't looked very encouraging but just getting out will be great!

Optor,
I went out yesterday and spotted many fish at 15 to 30 feet down. However I could not entice one bite on worms. I took worms with me because I always thought that fish went crazy over them.
If you go out tomorrow I would take live sawbellies or shiners or jig in about 40 feet of water.  Your best bet would be to go for perch or bass since the browns still seem to be dormant. Surface temperature was 65 degrees.
Good luck.

Tom,
Could it be the full moon? No bites?? I think they go hand in hand, or maybe they want shiners, sawbellies or a crayfish...

That sounds like one of my typical CR trips, you can mark the fish, put something in front of their faces and end up with no hits. Personally I dont
think it has to do with using worms because Yellow Perch will hit just about anything if the bite is on. And since they don't feed at night I doubt the full
moon has much to do with it either. Just an off-day I'd guess. Mid october is usualy when they start going on the fall feed so the timing should be right.

What's the fall feed?

When the fish seem to show an increased appetite probably in
preparation for the winter.

I tried out my new boat on CR #11 last Wednesday, caught a few smallies and a 19" largemouth, all on sawbellies in 20-25' of water. Also ran into ChrisD who was working on his boat. Sorry for the late report, was out of town for a few days, unfortunately missed the BBQ.  Hope to get back out soon- Gordon.

Nice fish!  Only caught one fish at CR, hope to get back out there when the biting is on!
