I've flyfished (by boat) on Kensico and C. Falls, and had great success with the bass.     Not so much with the trout (difficult to "target").

I've waded in both reservoirs in waders (on Kensico, that point on the south end of the Rt 22 bridge;  on CF, a few places not far from the Stoneleigh causeway).     Doubt I would've been able to shorefish in many places, due to the proximity of the trees to the water.

Like I say, I have not done well on trout.....I don't think I've taken one over a pound, if that.    But a 2 or 3 pound smallmouth on a fly is a trip.
