Haven't been out on NC in a few weeks.  Anybody getting anything on the east (eastern most) side?  I'm at a21, fished two weeks ago and got just a couple've nibbles.

no that wasnt me....i go out at 25....i was with my son..jon boat...saw 1 shirtless guy down by the cove near the overpass......2 guys across from me on the west side near the overpass....got two big hits right off the bat....20 ft from shore 10ft down......nothing after that....fished south of 25 eastside to the overpass...under the overpass to about 100 yards down that side...came back up the same side....1 hit on the way back up....tried senkos....jointed raps....nothing was hitting...
tried some new line..spiderwire supermono 17lb test...didnt like it..taking it off...

a couple of reason...my kid has finals this week...so i want him home and getting prepared....secondly its a new spot i'm at and theres is alot of growth at the water line and finding it in daylight is hard enough...in pitch black it may be impossible....i need to mark the area with some reflextive tape so i know where to go back in.....the last time i had a boat on NC was pre 9/11....i just want to get my bearings back...
i love fishing at night...i will be doing that in the coming weeks...

Dodgeguy,

Any tips for night fishing for bass on reservoirs? I'm thinking about giving Croton Falls a shot 1 night. I feel I know the reservoir well enough to navigate in the dark.  Thanks in advance.

You might end up up catching that big CF Brown you're after doing that.
