New line coming out in June
« on: June 12, 2011, 12:27:44 pm »
Its called nanofil made by berkley, it comes out at the end of this month.  I was wondering if anyone knows anything more about it?  It seems a little expensive but the line is really really thin, makes me wonder if i can use this instead of fluorocarbon line.  Also i think the line is suppose to have less memory which is great.

Just placed an order for 8, 10 and 12 pound.  10 pound is the same diameter as 3 pound mono.  This line is suppose to be epic, looking forward to try in out in a few weeks.  I read that clearing your entire spool with a cast if the wind is at your back is possible with this line.  This sounds cutting edge.  I returned my TATU line because it seemed just like regular seaguar line but double the cost.  This line seems completely different than anything thats out.

How has the line performed John? I was thinking of replacing the p line cx on my spinning setup with it

i actually ended up returning it and not using it.  It is suppose to cast a lot further but there are lots of knot issues with it.  I think i will just stick to my mono with fluoro leaders.  I had that tatsu line too but returned it back as well just for the Invisz seaguar line.

Great you just saved me the 20 bucks and the hassle because I was just about to order. On another note how is the stiffness and memory on the Invisx?

The invisx is pretty stiff! I have only used it as a leader it's too expensive to use as a full spool! :o

Thanks Manny, Maybe I should just stick to the p line cx. Unless someone can recommend a good 8lb flouro for a spinning setup.

that seaguar invisz is great line, i wouldn't spool the entire reel with it because its pricey.  I would just fill my spool with regular mono, cast as far as i can and cut the line.  From that point i put on my fluoro carbon line using a blood knot and spool it up.  I dispose the cut mono in the trash.

I use the seaguar as a leader for all my setups, i have spools from 6 pound to 12 pound.

6-8 pound i use for trolling the leadcore cranks, 10-12 pound i use for plastics and large cranks.

Also you were interested in the live target swimbait, make sure to get the fast sink one, the slow sinking one looks awesome in the water, it has great action but its like a surface lure!  I will be trolling it with the leadcore to see if i can land something with it. It looks just like a big sawbelly! Casting it is not producing fish.  I did have a huge smallmouth chase it though (looked like a 5 pound plus smallie).

Seaguar InvizX is one of the softer Flureos. But even then it's too stiff for any spinning reel.
I use it for my flat line trolling/bait fishing/jigging reels and for my LC leaders.
Still using P-line CX for my spinning reels.

I still use the PLine it works great and I have yet to find a reason to change it!

with that pline cx do you fish any leaders with it? It looks like a great sub for the more expensive fluorocarbon line.

I tried P-Line CX as a leader for my LC for a while and found that it was too vulnerable to abrasion.
That was my main reason to switching to Seaguar InvizX.
