Croton Falls Reservoir, 05-30-11
« on: May 30, 2011, 02:29:46 pm »
Trolled CFR this morning and landed this 26" Brown, he was a beutiful male with a giant head and a hooked jaw. Didnt weigh him just took a quik picture and got him back in the water. Got caught on the wrong end of the reservoir when the thunder storm came trough this morning and had to spend 1 1/2 hours in the woods waiting it out. Started trolling again when I tought I hooked a monster fish, this was the heavist fish I ever felt. I was getting all pumped up as the fish aproached the boat untill I got a good look at it and I some how foul hooked a trout that mabee weighted 5 pounds up around the dorsal fin, bummer I really thought it was the 10 Pound + brown I been after.

What a beautiful brown, good job releasing it, not many people would have released a brown of that size. Hopefully next year that brown will be 7 pound +.

the more i look at that pic the more i agree, how much would you think that fish weights? 8-9 pounds? even 10 pounds?  What a beast of a fish. Chris you should get that picture framed, its awesome!
