cny,

Maybe the changing weather and wind had something to do with that?

Maybe, hopefully I will finally catch somthing soon in Kenisco.

Hey CNY
I know you heard this before but it takes some patience but there are some monsters in Kensico and they will bite soon. I am just waiting for this crap weather to pass this weekend and the moment it gets better i will also be one of the guys fishing that has not caught his first in 2011 in Kensico. Keep changing up the lures try some live bait on a second rod and you are bound to catch one.
Lets go Yankee's

Yeah, some guy came  down and started fishing next to me and he gave me the 3/8 kroc spoon , which he said he caught an 8lber last week on. He also said that the trout were out there just to keep trying and at the right moment they will hit. He saw me casting smalller spoon/rapalas and he said to throw big baits out there that Kenisco is full of monster fish.Yea I was out there for 12:30 to 5 and I am looking forward to getting out there again, so I think patience isn't a problem for me lol.

Maybe the full moon we had maximizes the ability tofeed on livebait at night and minimizes the ability to feed on artificials during the day

My ideal condition for shore fishing would be a cloudy day after a moonless night.

"He saw me casting smalller spoon/rapalas and he said to throw big baits out there that Kenisco is full of monster fish."

That's true in principle. Except that one; early season trout generally prefer smaller
presentations than larger and two; big fish hit smaller lures without hesitation.
In practical terms, 3/8 to 1/2 oz spoons and lures not more than 3 inches or so in
length. This constrasts to the 4 inch lures that work well come mid April.
