Yes, in NY State it is legal to use corn.

Can we chum corn ???

Fish eggs are prohibited for use in chumming.
But other substances are not.

I think you have to be able to prove you caught the bait??

Secondly, the crime is to put the bait in your car..

I guess in a best case scenario he belives you that you caught your
own bait on the waters that you're fishing. In the worst case, he cuts you a
$250 ticket. That entire section on baitfish needs to be rewritten
to eliminate uncertainties.

well i would be using the bait in the same res. cause you cant move to another res. and i would have the minnow trap with me to show how i got them..

HAHAHA.

Anyway looks like some fishermen have been hounding the DEC so...

"New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Acting Commissioner Joe Martens today announced that DEC will propose revisions to the current rule restricting overland transport of uncertified baitfish."

Personally I don't think this covers all the issues at all but I guess at least
