I?ve tried a few brands of flouro and my favorite is hands down Trilene 100% fluorocarbon. In regards for backing, I always spool a few spool of flouro specifically on those reels. I mostly use flouro on my pitching stick.

Capitol Fishing near Times Square....the place is a ripoff, but I really wanted to try Flouro tomorrow morning.

Ah ok. On 36th street.I haven't been there in years and somehow
I had it in my head that they carried only saltwater stuff.

It mostly is saltwater, but they have a small selection of freshwater stuff....I hadnt been there in months but figured i would take a shot, since I really couldn't wait a week to try Flouro lol...and it was the only brand of flouro they had in 6lb test so I bought 33 yards of it for $12! absolutely outrageous considering I got that Seaguar flouro for $18 and thats 200 yards for 18 bucks.  Pretty much everything in there is marked up like double the price compared to Cabelas or BPS.  Except 1 time.....They had Okuma Reels that were $59.99 on Cabela's, BPS, etc....but at Capitol they were incorrectly marked $39.99 like these tiny Okuma ones that were $39.99, guess whoever marked them just marked everything Okuma at $39.99 that day...so I lucked out and bought 3 of them! haha

That's funny, I just went there this afternoon. Yes, that place is a major ripoff... they also seemed really low on stock in general. I just wanted to get some hooks so I can rig up before I get out on the water. I'm psyched to get out to Kensico on Sunday, weather looks perfect.

Around 1:00, must have just missed you. Not that we'd even recognize each other.... :)

I don't mind the rain, but there's a pretty low chance for it anyway. Low wind and overcast- great conditions. Probably still too warm for trout, but I'll give it a shot. I'll report back if I catch anything...

I was planning on going out tomorrow Sat but the winds right now are howling
and I'm wondering if they'll die down by morning. Sunday might be looking better
with low winds and a 20% chance of rain.

Suffix is a good brand with a high user reputation. It's been made by a Taiwan company
since the early 70s and I think in the 90s bought up by Rapala.
